Privacy / ownership
Your shelf is yours.
Snap Rocks is a collector app for rocks, minerals, crystals, and fossils. The camera exists to photograph specimens. Account features exist so the collection can follow you.
Camera and photos
Photos are used for specimen identification and the collection journal. They support ID and journaling — not unrelated uses. A photo cannot replace hardness, streak, or specific gravity. Identifications are estimates for learning and reference, not lab tests or gemological appraisals.
Sign-in
iOS uses Sign in with Apple. Android uses Sign in with Google. You can scan and journal without an account. Cloud backup, restore, and trades require sign-in.
- Collection data you save (photos, notes, location, condition, rating, asking price) stays in the app unless you back it up or export it.
- Backup and restore are available while signed in.
- You can export a file where the app supports it.
Trades
Trades are peer-to-peer between collectors. Snap Rocks does not insure or guarantee swaps. Contact details such as a username or optional Facebook helpers are information you choose to provide so other collectors can reach you.
Subscriptions
Optional Pro is billed by Apple or Google Play. Complimentary codes, if you have one, redeem in the app. Purchase records stay with the store.
What this marketing site collects
This site is static. The beta form sends App name, phone OS, and email to admin@snapcollectibles.com so we can issue a tester invite. No analytics SDK is bundled.
If you request the Android beta, the site shows the Google Play internal test URL on screen. You must copy and keep it. Google Play does not auto-send emails to testers. The URL becomes active once your email is added to the tester list — please allow up to a few hours.
Children
Snap Rocks is not directed at children under 13.
